Jose Carlos Ramos(1948- ), peruvian Artist. In 1986, Ramos was asked to exhibit at the opening of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santa Maria, Colombia. Ramos received both a Gold Medal at the 20th Tabor Likovnih Samarastnkiov and the Grand Prize at the 20th Meeting of Naive Artists of Yugoslavia a country known for its naive art history. Jose Carlos Ramos has reached a world renown status. In 1988 he had his dream come true. Ramos was selected for his most celebrated exhibition which was held at the United Nations.The Museum of Modern Art in New York, who purchased several of these works.
