This is very fine Japanese white ceramic porcelain cup and saucer set. It is made by Tosho Kiln, Seto city in Japan. The quality of porcelain is superb with finely and thinly made body in the design of ribbed relief work. You can see thru the light when holding under light. Each cup and saucer has marking on Tosho on the bottom of items. It came with nice gift box. Also little leaflet of WHITE CERAMIC in Japanse.The set never been used. It is 42 years old. Dated from 1980. We stored away. The glazing is and porcelain is called, "Seihakuji" (Blueish white porcelain) because the glaze has little blueish color. The condition of cup and saucer is mint condition, no chip, no crack and no hairline. You can use cup as Japanese tea serving as well as coffee set. So as the plate can be used as serving cake dish or others. Please note one of photo cup particle you see in the cup is dust.
