Joseph Sambataro (1947 -)
Oil Impressionist Joseph Sambataro was born in Philadelphia in 1947 and is an Honor Grauduate from the famous Layton Scholl of Art, with Academic Master Degree accredited through Marquette University. He has not only been a consistent major award painter since 1962, but has established himself as a sought after Lecturer and Judge, for Art Leaques, Juried Contests, Exhibitions, and Colleges. Sambataro's versatility in handling any subject and media has made collection of his original oil paintings extremely popular and widespread. He has completed over 5,000 original works of art and over 200 murals. All of these works of art were either commissioned or quickly purchased at substantial prices by corporations, government agencies and private collectors (a most impressive artistic accomplishment in such a short time.) His education also including University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Philadelphia College of Arts. He has painted the following portraits for, Mr John Lennon, Members of Beatles, Tony Bennett, Singer, President John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Sammy Davis Jr, singer and entertainer, Marilyn Monroe. Special Commission: ABC Television (courtroom sketches), Music Album Covers, Dallas Cowboys, Parker Pen Company, USAF-8th Air Force, and many others.
