The size of Plate: 9 3/8" Dia x 1 1/2" High. Very nice Japanese Antique Kutani Porcelain Plate. The plate is made from porcelain. It has brown band around the plate with red (Aka) underneath. The gold work on the band. The center has design of poet at the top of tree trunk with brush and paper on his hand. Poet's Kimono with gold work. The Plum tree is nicely painted. The ground and grass have gold works on them. Sky clouds are done with gold work as well. The back side has red and blue peony design around the outside plate. It is marked with Kutani Zo(made). The condition of plate is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. One tiny blue glazing stick at the left side water. There is some minor age wear spots as expected on outside charger, but almost none scratch on the surface. Dating from Meiji Period (1868-1912). It is good size plate or more to charger. This is very last piece we have.
